Newly Remodeled Sam’s Club Adds Savings in Mankato
Ceremony to highlight club upgrades, commitment to community Oct. 4
The newly remodeled Sam’s Club at 1831 Madison Ave. will host a grand reopening celebration Friday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. The River blenders will perform as part of the ceremony. From 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Oct. 4, the club will host a free grilling event in the parking lot.
The project represents a reinvestment in the club, its members and the community, providing them with incredible savings on quality merchandise in an exceptional shopping environment. Since opening its doors in 1994 the Mankato Sam’s Club has been supplying its members with a wide variety of fresh produce, quality meats, office supplies, apparel and more.
With the remodel comes a new Optical Department and Sam’s Club Pharmacy. The pharmacy is open to members and the public, featuring $4 and $10 generic prescriptions and extraordinary savings on branded prescriptions, and free monthly health screenings.
“I’m thrilled to be able to bring a Sam’s Club Pharmacy to the Mankato community. It’s a value we provide not only to our members, but to the public as well,” stated Club Manager Chris Moosey.
In addition to improving the physical club and member experience, Sam’s Club continues to invest in the communities it serves. In 2012 alone, Sam’s Club locations, Walmart stores and the Walmart Foundation provided more than $16 million in community giving in Minnesota.
To continue this commitment of giving, the celebration will include a grant presentation to area organizations, including $5,000 each to Feeding Our Communities Partners and Miracle Field.
