Fishing is more than catching fish – it is an opportunity to enjoy nature and all of the wonders that a lake provides.  This weekend the weather should be in the low 80’s, making it a perfect time to enjoy the lakes.

If you stay out lake on Sunday evening you will be able to do some great fishing under the “Super Moon.”  The moon will be the largest full moon of 2014, rising in the east at sunset and will be 221,765 miles away.

Lake Washington – There have been multiple reports of Walleye and Northern being caught on Bakers Bay.  People have had success using Lindy Rigs and Crank baits.

People have had good luck using the Mini-Mite.

Duck Lake – Duck Lake is always a great place to bring kids fishing.  You can always catch Crappie and Sunfish, keeping the kids happy and busy.  The pan fish may be a little small, but it is great activity for the kids.  Wax worms and crawlers always seem to bring the fish to the hook.

German Lake – The west shore line, weed lines and channel have been great areas to catch Crappies and Sunfish.  The fish are biting on Crappie Minnows and wax worms.  Another good are for panfish is along the island on the south part of the lake.

Little Jefferson – People have been having luck with Bass and Northern using artificial lures.  They have been using mostly top water baits, using frogs and buzz baits.

Big JeffersonChris and Emily Holden are testing their skills at catching Crappies and Sunfish using wax worms and crappie minnows.  Emily picked up a new neon Jig-in-a-Tube, which people have had success using for panfish.

Enjoy your weekend on the lakes.  Be safe and stop on in to White’s Corner Bait in Madison Lake for a complete fishing report and all of your fishing needs.
