North Mankato artist Andrew Judkins exhibit opens at Emy Frentz Arts Guild
MANKATO, MINN. – Paintings by Andrew Judkins will be on display at the Emy Frentz Arts Guild Gallery from February 18 – March 16. Judkins received his Masters of Fine Arts in painting from the renowned Savannah College of Art and Design. Judkins believes that looking at landscapes encourages people to be freed from themselves for a moment.
“To see nature depicted in a different context from literal reality—most powerfully in the form of a painting—that sparks an awareness that translates to curiosity and the real world.” said Judkins about his work.
The opening reception for the exhibit is Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5-8pm at the Emy Frentz Arts Guild (523 S Second St, Mankato) and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The exhibit is sponsored by Meyer & Norland Financial Group, through the Twin Rivers Council for the Arts Adopt an Artist Program.
Twin Rivers Council for the Arts is a non-profit regional arts and culture service organization that advocates for the arts; cultivates public participation by connecting people to arts and culture; and creates partnerships between business, cultural, and academic communities.
