Megan Fandrich leads St. Clair past Alden-Conger
ST. CLAIR, MINN. — The St. Clair Cyclones girls softball team defeated the Alden-Conger Knights 4-2 in Valley Conference action Tuesday.
St. Clair’s Megan Fandrich was the star of the game as the junior fired a one hitter on the mound, striking out a career high eight batters. Fandrich also delivered the winning hit in the 5th inning, hitting a RBI single with two outs breaking a 2-2 score.
Dani Boettcher led the team in hitting going 2-2 with five stolen bases while Cassidy Anderegg, Joci Hanson and Dani Lynch all singled. Claire Anderson also doubled in the victory.
With the win, the Cyclones improve to 6-3 (2-1 in Valley Conference). St. Clair travels to Madelia-Truman on Thursday with a 5:00 pm scheduled start.
