Three MoonDogs Named To All-Star Team

Mankato, MINN. The Mankato MoonDogs announced that they will be sending three players to the Northwoods League All-Star Game in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 19th.
Jake Shepski, outfielder for the MoonDogs, earned his spot because of a league leading .384 batting average during the first half of the season. He has also knocked six out of the park while gathering 32 runs batted in. Shepski hails from Lockport, Illinois and is a sophomore at Notre Dame.
Rickey “Big Daddy” Digrugilliers, six time starting pitcher, has propelled himself to the All-Star Game on his 21 strikeouts paired with a 2.13 era. The hard throwing right hander from Queens, New York, stands 6’2” and is a sophomore at Western Illinois.
Last but not least Jordan Kozicky, first baseman for the ‘Dogs, will be present at the All-Star Game not only because of a .341 batting average and 14 RBI but also because of his .990 fielding percentage. Kozicky hails from Minneapolis and is a freshman at the University of Minnesota.

The MoonDogs have a three game homestand starting Sunday, July 10th where they play host to Duluth with a 6:05 scheduled start. Sunday’s game is Think Pink, presented by Liv Aveda Salon & Span, Mankato Clinic and Minnesota 93. The MoonDogs will be wearing pink jerseys and hats that will be auctioned off throughout the night with proceeds going to a local Susan G. Komen team.
The MoonDogs stand 1-3 in the second half of the season and are 23-16 overall for the season.
