Region Nine Requesting Feedback on Local Foods

Mankato Times

MANKATO, MINN. — At Region Nine Development Commission, we see great potential to have local food improve the quality of life in southern Minnesota. Whether it is refining regional health, increasing food access or creating new economic activity, more local foods is a step in the right direction. That is why Region Nine is requesting feedback from schools, food buyers and local units of government across the region to better understand and support local food efforts in the nine county region. The information gathered will direct Region Nine’s local food supportive actions going forward and result in a formal needs assessment.

To provide your feedback, take the survey at one of the links below.

Food Buyers: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B8Q67TH

Region Nine hopes to have a direct impact on local food production in south central Minnesota through the needs assessment and collaboration with regional partners already engaged in this effort.
