Registration open for United Way Human Foosball Tournament
MANKATO, MINN. — Greater Mankato Area United Way’s Human Foosball Tournament will be back for a third year on South Front Street.
Team registration is now open for this year’s tournament on Saturday, July 15 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the 500 block of South Front Street. The street will be blocked off between Cherry to Warren to make room for four life-sized foosball courts.
This year, the tournament will be open to ages 16 and up, with parental permission.
CEO Barb Kaus said the event committee lowered the participation age due to the large volume of interest of various ages. “It has been wonderful to see so many people interested in participating in the tournament,” she said. “From teams to sponsors to businesses, everyone is already looking forward to this year’s event.”
Team registration is $600. Minimum of six players per team. Each team guaranteed a minimum of three games. Teams can register by visiting: MankatoUnitedWay.org/human-foosball.
Proceeds benefit the partner agencies of Greater Mankato Area United Way, which serves Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet and Waseca counties.
Community members of all ages are invited to the free block party to enjoy the foosball games, music by Radio Mankato and food from local businesses. Volunteer opportunities also available.
