Game highlights for Crusaders girls soccer

MANKATO, MINN. — The Mankato Loyola/LCWM/St. Clair/Madelia girls’ soccer team had a busy week playing games three games on the road, losing to Southwest Christian 0-3 and Waseca 1-6 before picking up a 3-1 victory over Worthington.

With the victory, the Crusaders improve their record to 3-4-1 and will play on the road in Fairmont in a Big South match-up on Tuesday, September 12th with a 7:00 pm scheduled start.

Game highlights:

Crusaders 0, Southwest Christian 3

The Crusaders lost to Southwest Christian in a non-conference game in Chaska 3-0 on Tuesday. Goalie Claire Orcutt had 13 saves and the Crusaders had 16 shots on goal but were unable to capitalize.

Crusaders 1, Waseca 6

The Crusaders lost to Waseca on the road in a non-conference game on Thursday. Claire Orcutt had another big game in the net stopping 12 shots. Sid Botker scored the lone goal for the Crusaders.

Crusaders 3, Worthington 1

The Crusaders picked up a big win on Saturday, defeating Worthington 3-1 in a Big South match-up on the road. Sid Botker picked up a goal off an assist by Mariah Kreykes and Elizabeth Peller scored two goals with assists by Annelise Winch and Olivia Harazin. Claire Orcutt had 11 saves and the Crusaders had 19 shots on goal.
