MANKATO, MINN. — Who will speak for you and make health care decisions if you become incapacitated?  VINE Faith in Action is hosting a presentation on the popular advanced health care directive, Five Wishes on Tuesday, June 12 from 2:30 – 3:30 pm at the VINE Adult Community Center (VACC), 421 East Hickory Street, Mankato.

“This is an important program for all adults,” facilitator and VINE Community Living Coach Joyce Kolbet said.  “Five Wishes has become a popular living will because it is written in everyday language and helps start and structure important conversations about care in times of serious illness.”

The presentation will include a 30-minute DVD with instruction on how to complete the Five Wishes document.  At the end of the presentation the audience will have a healthcare directive to share with their family.

The event is free to VACC members and open to the public for $5 per person, plus $5 for the Five Wishes document.  Learn more and register for the presentation online at or call 507-386-5586.
